Pizza & Dresses

After having one busy weekend after another, this was a weekend to relax (and hide from the cold. When I left the house this morning, it was -20 out. It is March, right?).

Friday.

Andrew brought home pizza and the two of us did nothing.

Saturday.

For the most part, I try to eat pretty healthy. I made some vegetarian stuffed peppers in the slow cooker, then a couple of Andrew's friends showed up at our place. We all shared the peppers (and salad. Suckers). I was feeling brave and willing to brace the cold to go to Snakes and Lagers (a place where you play board games while drinking). Apparently, no one else was willing to face the cold, so we played Jenga and ordered more pizza.

Andrew left mid way to go a conference (of sorts) and his friends fell asleep on my couch before deciding it was time to go home. I was not impressed (are we that old?).

Andrew brought me flowers to make it all better.

Sunday.

The dress she chose is not pictured
One of my best friends, Eliane, is getting married in July and asked me to be her bridesmaid. Sunday, we actually went shopping for a bridesmaid dress (after a failed attempt last month). Can I just say what a wonderful friend she is? Her sister and I grabbed a couple of dresses and brought them to the change room. After trying the first one on, Eliane said, "That's it. That's the one. Okay, we're done here. Let's go eat."

Seriously? I only had to try on one dress? Girl, I love you.

After grabbing a bite to eat, I went home and braced the cold so Andrew and I could go for a walk with Misty. We didn't last too long though.

Seriously, can someone let Mother Nature know that it's March now and these below freezing temperatures are not appreciated? Ktnx.

  7. Haha- I was like that with my wedding dress. I think it was the second dress that I tried on and I tried on maybe five more. I had to choose between three top favourites and I kept going back to that second dress. I bought it and we were ready for lunch soon after. It was ridiculously easy!! Same thing with my bridesmaid's dresses. I got them from Le Chateau and I can honestly say that they all didn't like them..! LOL- I found that out later.. but whatevs! I wouldn't choose those same dresses again, that's for sure. But, they looked fine!

    1. My sister in law gave hers away and told me later.. I was kinda pissed off because that dress would have fit me. I would have liked to have owned one of my bridesmaid dresses to wear in the future..

  15. So much good looking food! Do you have a recipe for those peppers? I made stuffed peppers yesterday and am putting the recipe up later this week but would love to try out a vegetarian option! And this weather NEEDS to change over to even semi-warm, asap!
