Despite the cold, here are five things that made me happy this week:
one. pizza. This pizza was bittersweet. Our friends (Chris and Vic) that stayed with us this past weekend left on Monday afternoon (to go back to Montreal). I took an early lunch so that, before they left, we could get together one more time. Chris had been craving pizza so I suggested we eat at Pizzaiolo. For the record, it was an awesome suggestion and their pizza is delicious.
two. banana bread. I also made banana bread. It's delicious too. I'm not sharing. Sorry.
three. Misty. She seems to be the only one I know that does not care that it is -20C out (not including the windchill). She's lucky she's so cute.

four. chili. I made chili this week. Want some? Please, take. I'll share this because I made way too much. But, if that's my biggest problem, I'm doing okay!
five. flights. Andrew has been traveling all around Canada this week. He sent me that picture this morning of the plane being brought into the deicing bay. All I noticed was the pretty sunrise.
I plan to spend this weekend inside. Where it's warm. Possibly dancing in my living room. To songs like this:
Have a great weekend!
Send me some chili! On second thought you may need all of it with -20!
ReplyDeletei'm going to make banana bread today :)

That pizza looks heavenly! So glad I'm having some tonight for dinner! We do the same thing with chili-- we always attempt to freeze it but then we never end up eating it, so it goes to waste anyway! And a dance party for this never ending winter sounds perfect! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteBanana bread makes me happy too. I make mine with nutmeg... heavenly! My dog, on the other hand, is driving me crazy. :) We are about to brave the cold and go to the dog park so she will chill out. Joining you from the That Friday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteA girl in my office brought banana bread in this morning...yum!! That pizza looks SO delicious, wow!!! Have a great (and hopefully warm-ish) weekend! Spring is coming soon...right? xo
ReplyDeleteyum!! pizza, banaa bread, chili?! haha dancing in the living room is always a good idea!
ReplyDeleteMmmm now I'm hungry, thanks. How did everything go with Andrew this week? Dancing in the living room sounds like an AMAZING idea - do it!
ReplyDeleteI am just waiting for Alina to wake up this am. I usually don't eat until she eats because my hunger is a reminder to feed her right away. (I know, terrible mother.. who forgets to feed their baby!?) I was scrolling through my Bloglovin feed and saw the pizza and my horribly hungry tummy was drawn to your post. Now, I want pizza for breakfast..
ReplyDeleteDo you ever do that!? You see a nice cold slice of pizza in the fridge and decide that's just the thing you want for breakfast?!
I hope the cold lets up for you soon!
Yes! I made chili last week! Best decision ever. When I come to Toronto I want that pizza asap because a) it looks delicious and b) it's huge. x
