But, she wasn't always sweet.
In fact, when she was a puppy, she was a little hellhound.
That's right, that adorable little puppy that was once so tiny she fit on my desk, next to my laptop, was a huge rebel.
You see that red harness that she's wearing? We bought her the harness because she would bite her leashes off. She bit her way out of that harness too. And all other harnesses she was given.
She would harass other dogs.
She insisted on laying down on her pee pads... after she already peed on them (hey, at least she used them!).
She inflicted wounds on me because she thought it was hilarious.
She would steal dish towels from the kitchen because she enjoyed interrupting me while I was studying.
But, eventually she learned to respond to all my commands. Even though she would forget sometimes and more training was needed, she turned into a really awesome, well behaved dog. Well, except when another dog gets a stick. That's her stick! Wait, no it isn't. Okay, so she has to work on sharing. Other than that, she's perfect.
Aww how cute!!! lol
ReplyDeleteIve always heard that a dogs temperament and behaviour is all dependent on how they were raised during the first 6 months of their life- you obviously did a good job!!
ReplyDeletepups are like toddlers - they do what they want!

Awww! Haha she was a cute little rebel. Oliver has his moments right now, because he has so much energy! At least he got over climbing the curtains. (once they were ripped to shreds, of course)
ReplyDeleteBut she's just so darn cute! Makes all those little bad things seem not so bad right?
ReplyDeleteAww, I love looking back at puppy photos of my dogs. I can't believe how fast they grow up (in size, not maturity!)
ReplyDeletebut look at that face!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove!!!! Those puppy pictures are the sweetest! Sometimes the most rambunctious dogs turn out to be the best!
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen towel thievery is too cute, and very clever as a distracting technique.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like the reincarnation of Marley!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!! hehe I think all puppies have a little rebel streak in them, but really stealing dish towels cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteI love Misty even if she is a bit naughty! x
ReplyDeleteShe was sooooooooo cute!! She still is, of course. But she was sooooooo little!!!
ReplyDeleteAll puppies are little hell raisers! Especially with those razor sharp, teeny little teeth!
I love this! Dogs make the best friends. Im hoping to get my own puppy this year and I cant wait :) xx
ReplyDeleteMisty,
ReplyDeleteAs a puppy I did not start our relationship off on the right foot either. I might've peed on my mom's pillow the night I was brought home and then proceeded to stop in the middle of my dog training class to crap right in the middle of the floor. Let's just say we didn't go back to that class! I'm 7 now and my parents always tell me what a good dog I am and how much They love me, so I'd say I turned out alright!

New follower :) Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteYour pup is SOO adorable! My puppy is in this terrible {but too cute to get too mad at} stage right now where she is so naughty but makes up for it with how sweet and adorable she is ;) haha
