Marketing Done Right: WestJet Christmas Miracle

My favourite airline, by far, is WestJet.

When I wasn't allowed on a flight (because I was throwing up in the airport. That's a post for another day) WestJet was there to comfort me.

They bought me medicine, put me in a cab and paid for me to stay the night in a hotel. They even gave me a food credit!

So, when WestJet put out their Christmas video this year, I had to watch. I love seeing how they give back to their guests.

This was done very well. It brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face.

Enjoy!

(WestJet is a Canadian airline.)

  5. I watched this last night with Rob!!! How INCREDIBLE is WestJet!?!? We joked that the guy that asked for socks and underwear was probably kicking himself in the butt for not asking for a 50 inch t.v. like those other people. I just thought it was sweet that they had a "live" Santa in the airport for the kids to get excited about. But it ended up being so much more. I love the holidays!!

  7. I totally thought of you when I saw this on the news today! What a great role model for all other (American) airlines...

I also couldn't stop thinking about how magical this time is and how magical we can make it for others--sure, presents are nice, but just randomly wishing for something, forgetting about it, and then ACTUALLY getting it a few hours later must have been so overwhelming!! Naturally, I teared up as well :).

  8. I can't watch the video but that is extremely sweet of them. Never heard of an airline being that nice before! I worked at an airport and all I would hear was complaints!

  15. Is it weird that my eyes started tearing up during this? This is the reason I love Christmas. That's just so absolutely special that this many people would come together to pull off something like this. How amazing!
