Sponsored Post: Campus Book Rentals

If tuition and other school fees aren't expensive enough, we also get the "luxury" of paying for textbooks that we'll never look at again after we graduate. I can tell you from experience, these books add up! Seriously, I think one year I spent close to $1000 on all of my books. Granted, I was an English major (Professional Writing to be exact), so it made sense that most of my courses required me to read. Regardless, those books added up really quickly! Now that I've graduated, those books are sitting on my bookshelf, collecting dust. I have no use for them and they're a constant reminder of how expensive school was.

Thankfully, there's a solution!

(I know a lot of you are still in College, so this will definitely benefit you!)

Campusbookrentals.com allows students to rent their textbooks!

I wish I had known about this when I was in school!

Besides saving money (roughly 40-90% off of bookstore prices), campusbookrentals.com offers a number of other benefits as well, such as:

  • free shipping!
  • ability to highlight in the textbook you rent
  • flexible rental periods
  • great selection of textbooks
  • 21 day worry-free guarantee
  • if you want to purchase the book you've rented, you can!
  • no membership fees
  • want to rent a textbook even though you're not in school anymore? You can! You don't have to be in school to rent from campusbookrentals.com
Not only that, but campusbookrentals.com donates a portion of each textbook rental to Operation Smile.

From the Operation Smile website:
"Since 1982, Operation Smile — through the help of dedicated medical volunteers — has provided more than 3.5 million comprehensive patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with facial deformities. Our work creates a lasting global impact. We train local doctors in developing countries and strengthen healthcare systems so more children in some of the poorest areas in the world can be treated."
Not only are you saving money for yourself, but you're helping a wonderful charitable organization!

What if you already have textbooks but don't need them anymore?

Now there's RentBack (www.rentback.com)!

Instead of selling your textbooks at the end of your college year (which I tried to do and wasn't very successful at), you can send the textbooks you own to RentBack's warehouse - using free shipping labels - and they'll take care of the rest! Your textbooks will be rented to other students and you'll get a percentage of the profits! Just like that!

Whether you're looking for textbooks or wanting to get rid of your own campusbookrentals.com and rentback.com offer the solutions you're looking for!

Now I just can't help but wonder why I didn't know about this when I was in school...

  2. I got an email from one of their representatives as well, but decided against writing about it. Although it's a great company and idea and I love that they donate to Operation Smile, I can buy the books I need off of Amazon for much cheaper.
However, it is a great alternative to buying through my bookstore!
