The Leibster Award

Katie, over at Mr. & Mrs. Foster, so kindly nominated me for a Leibster Award. I've seen these floating around in the blogsphere (clearly, that's not a word, but it is now) and I always thought they were kind of fun. So a big thank you to Katie!

The "rules" are as follows:

Answer the 11 questions asked.
Leave a link back to the blogger that nominated you.
Choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate, and let them know they’ve been picked.
Write 11 new questions for them to answer.

So let's get started, shall we!

It doesn't seem like anyone actually nominates a full 11 people, but I tried my best. My nominations are as follows:

My questions for you ladies are:

1. Favourite song?
2. Who/What inspires you?
3. If you found $100 on the sidewalk in front of your house, what would you do?
4. You're told if you shave your head, you'll get anything you ask for in return. Would you do it and what would you ask for?

5. PC or Mac?
5. If you could live anywhere in the world for 6 months, all expenses paid, where would it be?
7. What's your favourite food to cook/bake?
8. What's the one THING you can't live without (material thing, not a person or animal)?
9. What's your biggest pet peeve?
10. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
11. Favourite childhood memory?

My questions from Katie:

1. Who do you admire?
This sounds weird, but I admire my boss and the owner of the company I work for. They're both really successful people, that don't flaunt their wealth and clearly deserve it.

2. What is your dream job?

I've got two extremes:
a) an actress, but not a famous one, just one that does well financially. I don't want to be recognized when I walk down the street. Or;
b) a successful author, who does speeches at schools and whatnot

3. What is your idea of the ultimate adventure?

Robbing a bank and getting away with it Hiking through any of these places.

4. If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?
I had an hour long conversation with a group of friends about this, to which we determined that every super power comes with its own problems. So, I chose being-able-to-go-super-fast-whenever-I-want-to. Rush hour traffic? Please. That's not a problem for me.

5. What is your guilty pleasure?
Cake. I love cake. I'm good at having just one slice, but if there's cake in front of me, I have to eat some of it.

6. Where is the weirdest place you've gotten "frisky"? (Oh yeah I went there.. hah)
Haha, what a question. It would, for sure, have to be in Andrew's plane (I really hope his family never reads this).

7. If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?
It would be my mom. She passed away when I was 14 and I miss her, a lot.

8. What is the best advice you've ever gotten?
"You can do anything you put your mind to" and "Treat others the way you want to be treated."

9. If you won the lottery what is the first thing you'd buy?
A house/condo and a dog. Not sure which would be first.

10. Dream travel destination?

Whistler, BC; they have gorgeous waterfalls!

11. Most embarrassing moment?

Oh gosh. Which one do I choose? One time, in middle school, a friend told me a joke in our cafeteria. I started laughing pretty hard. At the same time, my crush walked in. I saw him, while still laughing, and I laughed myself right off my chair. In front of everyone. Including my crush.

  1. Congrats on your award!!! And I have always wanted to be an actress too!! ;)

  2. Hahaha I do not approve of the frisky question. I'm never sitting in that plane!! :P

And thanks for the nomination dudette. I shall do it tomorrow since I've already blogged for the day :P

  3. 3. What is your idea of the ultimate adventure?
Robbing a bank and getting away with it Hiking through any of these places.

Ok I LOVE THE ROBBING BANK ONE. My husband has all these crazy things that he wants to do. one of them is steal someone's car, clean it and fill it with gas and return it hahaha. Just so random. Doing crazy illegal things seems like so much fun... ;)

  4. Oh wow, thank you so much for nominating me! I'm gonna try to post mine tomorrow :)

  5. alex, thank you SO very much for nominating me. YOU are too sweet. i have "done" this post before way back but it is beyond thoughtful of you to send to the love! i loved reading your answers and getting to know more about you! always fun!
i so agree with you on being an actress...sounds like fun, but i would absolutely loathe being followed around and never being able to do anything in peace.
i have heard so many wonderful things about whister...looks beautiful! and woohoo - on the plane! :)
sending love your way - thanks for always leaving such sweet words! have a happy friday!

  6. I have said the same thing about being an actress! I would love to be famous, just for the money. But NOT for the publicity. Ick.

  7. Thanks so much for the nomination Alex! (I got my post done today) I've always liked the idea of being an author, love learning more about you through these questions!

I love comments. Thanks for making me smile!
