Delicious Food and Zombies!

This weekend left my tummy full and my body sore!

Friday.

Toronto has this wonderful event called the Delicious Food Show. It's exactly what it sounds like. An event with delicious food. There were tons of samples and great deals.

The watermelon says "Delicious Food Show" on it
Even some unique ideas of what you can do with food!

There was even free liquor! FREE! We were pleasantly surprised.

After getting our drink on, we tried oysters for the first time. Surprisingly, they weren't too bad. It might have helped that we could put sauce on them.

A nice vender ended up giving us two complimentary tickets to come back the next day so we called it an early night!

Saturday.

I used our free tickets to take Jerome to the Food Show. He ended up buying a ton of stuff! We were both disappointed by the lack of free booze. Note to self: only go to the Food Show on a Friday night! It was also super busy on Saturday so we didn't stay long.

We met up with Andrew and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Grazie (one of my favourite restaurants ever).

After stuffing our faces, we went back to our place and forced Jerome, who is terrified of scary movies, to watch the Conjuring. My opinion of the movie? It was okay. Not scary enough for me. Insidious still tops the list of scary movies for me!

Sunday.

We participated (and completed!) our first ever 5K zombie run!

Our dear friend, Anjru (the one without a number), came to cheer us on!

We were really excited to start this race. In case you were wondering, Mike and I were going as Louis and Zoey from the video game Left 4 Dead.

Those two people. I probably should have tucked in the white shirt but it was cold out and it kept me warm!

Everyone else was just there to have fun!

The run was a blast! I'll dedicate a blog post just to the run later in the week. My body is too tired and sore to talk about it now.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

  10. I did a zombie 5k mud run last year, and yeah, I could barely move the next day! Those obstacles were no joke! We didn't "survive" in the end though. I hope you did!
