That Time I... Watched the Jays From Our Hotel Window

I really wanted to throw Andrew a surprise party for his 25th, but since he was away for the weekend of his birthday (and the weekend before), and with the timing of our move, it wasn't possible. Fortunately, last year, he was able to celebrate with his friends in an awesome suite!

Hey look, the baseball field!
What made this suite so awesome? It overlooked the Rogers Centre (aka. The Skydome)! You know, the place where our Major League Baseball games are held. Basically, you could watch a live baseball game from the hotel window!

They say 'go big or go home' right? So, go big is what I did and I made sure the suite had two floors, so it would be large enough for a big group of friends.

I also had a cheese platter, wine and a card waiting for him in the room upon arrival.

The one thing I didn't take a picture of, that I really should have, was the washroom. Let me just tell you that the shower in that washroom was absolutely amazing. It had massage blasters in it! Okay, so maybe that's not what they're called, but you get the idea. Basically, the shower was the shower that dreams are made of.

I also got Andrew and I matching Blue Jays t-shirts so we could cheer on our (losing) team together!

Of course, there was cake! Ice cream cake, no less! (Provided by one of Andrew's friends.)

Now let's just enjoy some pictures!

Say what?

We actually love each other

Cake cake cake!
Have you ever booked a fancy hotel room?

Now go visit my dear friend Emily!

  4. Is it too corny for me to say that's a sweet suite?? Haha! I would love to see a game from a suite sometime...and then if I can just crawl in bed afterward, that would be even better!

  9. Okay, this is AWESOME! I have never heard of a hotel looking over a baseball field like that. Definitely putting that on my list of things to do before I die! Haha. Okay...so I'm thinking I might have to change my That Time I posts to Thursdays. Tuesdays are my longest days and I just know I won't be able to get myself to write a post every week...hence me missing this week and last week, haha. If you want to switch to Thursdays as well, let me know! But if not I'll still link up with ya. :D
