Aw, kitty. |
Gross, I know. Don't act like it doesn't happen to you too. I know it does.
My problem is... how do I control it?
I've tried everything: insoles, baby powder, foot cremes, foot sprays, Dr. Sholl's Odour Destroyers. Nothing works! And it's only when I wear flats (which I wear for a good eight hours a day). Flip flops and running shoes don't give me the same problem.
It's embarrassing. So embarrassing that if I come to your house and I'm wearing flats, I'll ask if you if I can leave them on. If I can't leave them on, I'll ask you if I can wash my feet in your bathtub. Awkward, I know. But would you rather me be or awkward or smell my stinky feet? I'm super hygienic and can't stand bad smells. So, I need your help!
What can I do to make my feet always smell like flowers and a bar of my favourite soap?
(I apologise for the very awkward and gross post, by the way.)
Ok.
ReplyDeleteA) This post cracked me up. It's so honest and that's awesome!
B) I have a similar problem. When I wear certain flats, especially ones that are leather on the inside (Sperrys, TOMs), my feet will sweat. Depending on how long I've been wearing them they can start to smell. I've discovered if I can keep them from sweating, it's fine. I just wear socks! I try to find the ones that show as little as possible. I've heard them called Footies, Peds, and a few other names.
They look like this! http://www.ebay.com/bhp/footies-socks-peds
I would blame the shoes! It might be the material. I know I have certain flats that I have to wear with caution!
ReplyDeleteHaha this post made me laugh - I have the same problem though! I've found that wearing those little socks which basically only cover the bottom of your foot and your toes helps though.
ReplyDeleteHaha!! I love this!! I think every girl has this problem whether she admits it or not! I can't find a cure for mine so when you do, please share! :)
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with my flats and my converse shoes. I spray them down with Dr scholls at night but that doesn't really help! :( xx
ReplyDeletei am right here with you on this one!!!
ReplyDeleteHappens to me all the time. The best solution that I have found is to wear those no show thin little socks. My feet still smell, but not nearly as bad. And when I go to somebody's house, I just take the little socks off too!
ReplyDeleteit's def the material (usually unbreathable like canvas or leather) that make you feet stank. when your feet can't breathe, your feet get damp which is a breeding ground for bacteria hence, the smell. i don't wear that as i need to wear socks with closed-toe shoes so i have no advice. maybe...don't wear closed-toe shoes? :( sorry, i'm no help.

Haha, totally have the same problem. I find that the little mini socks that you can't see with flats make a huge difference. The Hue brand is great! I wear them basically every day!
ReplyDeleteAnd this post right here is why you are hands down my favorite blogger. My only suggestion is to wear the no-show socks!
ReplyDeleteI know what you're talking about hahahahah! I don't wear flats that often, but I know exactly what you're talking about.
ReplyDeleteohmygosh, i love your honesty! and that adorable cat pic - gonna have to show steve! my feet stink a LOT whenever i wear sneakers...i think it's time for new ones.
ReplyDeletei wish i had some good advice for ya!
Easy solution girl; baking soda! Not a lot, or else it might look like you're trafficking coke but it works like a charm. In fact I never usually get stinky feet but I did this summer in my new slip on Airwalks. We all get it, solidarity sister!
ReplyDeleteI found you through Amanda at Rhyme and Ribbons. I finally discovered another Canadian! I've been wondering where we're all hiding...!
