Almonds, in general, are super good for you. But did you know that almond butter is good for you too? (It's weird to think that anything with the word butter in it could be good for you.) Dr. Oz says that if you take two tablespoons of this almond butter stuff before bedtime, it'll stabilize your blood sugar level and help you sleep. Do a quick Google search and you'll find a ton of benefits from almond butter including:
- lowering cholesterol
- lowering blood sugar
- controlling weight gain
- balancing electrolytes
- it's got fiber and protein in it
- it's got those fun antioxidants too!
It's also a great substitute for peanut butter!

Without further ado, a great post-workout shake, with almond butter. Andrew made this last night and it was deee-licious!
Simple Almond Butter Shake - For One
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 cup of almond milk (we used original; not vanilla)
1 scoop of protein powder (vanilla)
Put it all in your blender until well mixed.
That's all there is to it! Told you it was easy!
