"Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky; They wipe away tears that I cry. The good and the bad times, we've been through them all. Before I get into my weekend recap, I want to take this moment to wish my other half a happy anniversary.
You make me rise when I fall."

Through all the ups, we've had our downs too. From running away from you to yelling matches. Let's not forget all the arguments in front of your friends (and of course, your brother too).
No, we're not perfect, but who is? We've made it through the downs because
You keep me safe in your arms.
I love you, Andrew. Happy four years!
Now enough with the cheesiness. Let's get onto the good stuff: what we did this weekend!
This weekend we went to Richmond, Virginia. Mal over at Mal's Miles had blogged about taking her friends to this place called Uptown Alley and mentioned that it was similar to Dave and Buster's. I'm absolutely in love with Dave and Buster's; I've had two birthday parties there and I've gone there over ten times since I turned nineteen. So, I had to check out Uptown Alley.
We booked a hotel off Hotwire (we got the Hyatt), hopped into Andrew's plane and off we went.
A woman who worked at the FBO we landed at recommended we have dinner at The Tabacco Company Restaurant, so we did. It was a beautiful restaurant, with really great service. They even had a live band playing really nice jazz music!
After dinner, we drove to Uptown Alley. Let me just say, driving at night in Richmond was an experience. I've noticed this in some other States as well: there are no streetlights on the highway! What's up with that?
Uptown Alley was fun, but I think D&B takes the cake. I know there's a D&B in Richmond as well, but we didn't get a chance to check it out to compare it to ours.
As usual, Andrew kicked my ass in bowling. I beat him, once! But, he probably let me win.
On Saturday, we explored more of Richmond. We also noted how quiet Richmond is on a Saturday. The picture on the left was taken at 12 in the afternoon, on a highway. Where is everyone?
We walked along a slave trail, went to a bunch of museums, grabbed some food then headed back to the hotel to flight plan. Sunday called for bad weather, so we left early Sunday morning. By early, I mean, we took off at 5am.
When we got back home, we both passed out for a good few hours. Woke up in time to paint Easter eggs and have our traditional Easter egg hunt.
Now I'm back at work and I'm struggling to stay awake! Any suggestions for our next getaway?
