Gatsby New Years Over the Border!

This New Years Eve, Andrew and I celebrated over the border. We found an awesome deal in Buffalo that we couldn't pass up.

The New Years event we went to had a Great Gatsby theme. They even gave out prizes to the best dressed costumes! Don't ask me what the prizes were. I have no idea.

We tried to do our best at following the theme; especially considering we didn't spend any extra money on creating costumes. Go us for being frugal!

In typical fashion, we took a ton of selfies before leaving our hotel room and heading downstairs.

Oh yeah, the best part of the event? It was held in the same hotel we were staying at!

Open bar + not driving? That's the only equation that makes sense!

After finding our seats in the banquet hall, we grabbed our buffet style dinner (which was meh).

We had a couple drinks, shared a couple dances, then got really bored with the music. There was a live band (which I failed to take a picture of. Shame on me) who seemed to only play really, really old music.

We left the banquet hall and discovered that the "real" party was happening downstairs in the hotel lobby. The live DJ was spinning beats that everyone could get down with. And everyone did!

At midnight, we watched fireworks, enjoyed champagne and shared a midnight kiss.

It was a wonderful New Years! Thanks, Buffalo. :)

Happy New Year!

"If somebody told me there'd be nobody else, but you and I."
- Anjulie, You & I
(I am absolutely obsessed with that song right now).

I may be a few days late, but better late than never: Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Years Eve!

Andrew and I spent our NYE at The Manor, a wonderful banquet hall in Newmarket/Kettleby, with some great friends (including Kat from Us On Cloud 9 - awesome name, I know - and Anjru from Embryo). It was an awesome night and very well organized. However, a group of us agreed that we did not enjoy the food, at all (Bellagio, where Andrew and I went last year, was much better food wise). Some of us ended up getting McDonald's afterwards, and even though I never eat that crap, it had never tasted better.

Now to get back into the work grove. Easier said than done!

Dancing the night away!

Happy New Year from us both!
