For $10 a month (plus shipping for some; $4.95 for me), subscribers receive a Glam Bag with samples and full-sized beauty products which are unique to them and the profile they filled out when they signed up! You don't know what you're getting ahead of time. The only thing you know is that it follows a theme. This month's theme was Glamour Academy.
What I got:
0.03oz
Colour: Anarchy
Cost: $7.00
Thoughts: Urban Decay is an amazing brand, so I was super excited to get this lipstick. It goes on so smooth and feels great on my lips. I was really happy with the colour too!
Cost:$5.50
Thoughts: I think Ipsy read my mind when they sent me this. I was just in the market for a new exfoliating scrub! I really like the feel of this on my skin and it smells great too! For a full bottle, it's $18. Ipsy members get 30% off. I'm contemplating purchasing it.
Cost: $4.00
Thoughts: I don't use foundation or foundation primers (blasphemy, I know) so I don't really need this. I was willing to give it a shot though. It blended well with my skin, but left it sparkling. I don't like when products add sparkles to my face.
Cost: $4.00
Thoughts: This was okay. It extended my lashes slightly but it didn't make a huge difference. I definitely wouldn't buy this but I'm happy to get it for free.
Colour: Bronze
Cost: $14.95
Thoughts: As you can tell from the picture, I struggled to get the powder through the little holes. That might be a good thing though since this is mineral eyeshadow and it tends to go all over the place if you're not careful.
I actually received this same eyeshadow, in a different colour, in my April Ispy bag. I've been using it regularly though, so despite the shadow making a bit of a mess when its applied (if not careful), I really like it!

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this bag. Really glad I got the facial scrub, the lipstick and the eyeshadow. Disappointed with the lash booster and the BB cream, but I still plan to use both products until they're done. I know some Ipsy members got the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer and I was really happy I didn't get that! I have about four samples of that sitting around at home from a makeup purchase I made last November. Can you tell that I really don't use foundation?
I was also super happy that I didn't get blush!

Ahh I'm so sad that I didn't get the UD lipstick. I got some cherry lip balm instead. And I wanted the pumpkin mask. It's like Ipsy doesn't even know me lol But I'm excited to try some of the things I got and the bag is really cute!
ReplyDeletehow cool! I love that Pacifica brand, but I've only ever seen the lotions I didn't know they made makeup. I have seen so many of these types of things, like Birch Box, lately and I'm so curious! On one hand I think "its only $10" but then I also think it may be a waste if I don't LOVE everything in it. Such a tough one!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same about the eye shadow! I got the same one months ago too. Strange they would do repeats?!
ReplyDeleteI just recently cancelled my Hulu plus subscription because I wasn't really using it, plus I could use the money. But I may just have to start getting this one...so far it seems like you get the most bang for your buck out of all the other companies I have seen like this!
ReplyDeleteUpdate: I subscribed using your referral code!! Hahaha. I'm on the waitlist. It was kind of a spontaneous thing. I figure I may as well try it for a month or two!
ReplyDeleteThe Pacifica BB Cream broke me out :(
