Friday.
Clear skies and nice weather always equal patios for me. To celebrate the first day of summer, a funnel cake was in order. As well as Corona. I swear I'm going to gain at least 15 pounds by September.
Somehow starting off on a patio with a few people...
Ended up with a group of people. Summer is only a month in Canada (I'm slightly exaggerating) so we like to take advantage of it as much as possible.
Saturday.
We went on a slightly impromptu camping trip for reasons I'm unable to disclose. I really didn't feel like bringing our huge tent (which takes way too long to set up) so we bought a pop-up tent. It was so quick to set up! It wasn't exactly waterproof though. It poured that night and the tent got fairly wet. We returned it the next day.
One of my favourite things about camping are the views you get to see. The sky looked lovely as the sun set.
Like I mentioned, it started pouring rain. As the rain came, everyone ran to their respective tents, while I jumped in the car to drive into the city to get food (so when I say camping, I mean "camping"). The fire had been extinguished by the rain when I left. When I came back, the rain had stopped and the fire was somehow still going. No one left their tent either. How the fire started will forever be a mystery.
Sunday.
Woke up to this awesome view of the trees. Seriously, I'm such a nature nut.
When we got home, Andrew decided to make pizza. It was so good! I love having a man that can cook!
Looks like such a fun weekend! That funnel cake and pizza look delicious. Don't you love when men cook?
ReplyDeleteOh no your tent! That would have been the end for me. Your view that morning was amazing though. Aw only 1 month of summer! Made me laugh :)
My vote for the fire is sasquatch or aliens.
ReplyDeleteYour camping views were gorgeous! That pizza looks delicious.
ReplyDeletefun weeekend (minus the rain!) and those pizzas look so amazing!

I was drooling over your instagram of the funnel cake all friday night. I haven't been camping in years but your pictures make me want to again. (I love the idea of the little pop up tent. One of the reasons why I don't get excited about camping is the amount of time it takes you to set up!)xx
ReplyDeleteI love meeting fellow tiny-condo dwellers!! Im going to check out your blog :)
ReplyDeleteI want a funnel cake!! I saw a recipe for funnel cake cupcakes on Pinterest that I want to try.. who knows how those will turn out but it's worth a shot! haha. I would've returned the tent too! A pop up tent sounds great, but not if you get soaked! lol
ReplyDeleteI need a man that can cook and an funnel cake asap! Glad you had a fun weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat funnel cake just made me sooooo hungry!!! Your camping pictures are beautiful, I'm not much of a camper but I can always just enjoy your photos!
