I'm Loving Every Second, Minute, Hour

It is a half day for me today at work and I couldn't be happier! Here's what I'm loving this week:

one. I absolutely love my city. Enjoyed a rooftop patio this week with that amazing view.

two. Enjoyed some great drinks on said patio!

three. Made some random chicken, pasta and tomato dish, which I threw together with whatever I could find in my pantry (I wrote patio initially. I wonder what's on my mind..)

four. Looking up bedroom ideas. More on that later. ;)

five. Monday is Canada Day! 

I am so proud to be Canadian and I can't wait to celebrate this long weekend.
(Fireworks anyone?)

One of the best parts of Canada Day is that it's a day off!
Now if I can find a Canadian t-shirt in time, I'll be all set...

Feeling Good Friday & an awesome story!

Linking up with Beth today for Feeling Good Friday. And man, do I feel good!

Why? Because on Wednesday night, I got this bad boy:

Um, Alex. It's just a phone.

WHAT?! Okay, let me explain. I just spent the past four-and-a-half years with a BlackBerry. Yes, that's right. A shitty BlackBerry (months ago, you wouldn't have caught me ever calling it "shitty." I loved my phone. Until I discovered Instagram and immediately hated BlackBerry's lack of apps and crappy camera).

I do have to give BlackBerry credit for this though: it's part of the reason Andrew and I are together.

That's right. I dragged him into the picture.
I knew him for a whole hour at that point.

You see, I hit on Andrew.

Yes, you read that right.

What was my line?

Oh, you have a BlackBerry? So do I. Here, give me your phone. I'm going to add myself to your BBM list. Oh, you have Facebook too? Let me just add myself to your Facebook friends list.

Sidenote: If you don't know what BBM is, it's the messaging platform BlackBerry has. Also, Andrew and I no longer have Facebook.

Because of that, BlackBerry will always have a place in my heart. But, I already have Andrew, and the poor guy is stuck with me for good, BlackBerry or no BlackBerry.

(I promise I'll write the full-story of how Andrew and I met, one day.)

I'm pretty much on top of the world with this new phone.

What else am I feeling good about? Tonight, Andrew and our friends will be dancing the night away with dinosaurs at our local museum.

I'm not kidding and I'm pretty excited about it.
