He Can't Give Just One Answer (Boys Behind the Blog)

I totally didn't realise that yesterday was the Boys Behind the Blog linkup. Since I missed it last month, I'm linking up a day late so I don't miss it this month too.

Time to ask Andrew questions!

Yes, those are mountains behind him
1. What's your lucky number?

Andrew: 6? I don't know. 7?

2. Do you have a lucky charm?

Andrew: Yeah.

Me: What is it?

Andrew: You.

Me: Aw. No, but really, what is it?

Andrew: Nah, I don't have one.

3. Do you fill out a bracket for March Madness? Who do you want to win?

Andrew: What the heck is that?

Me: It's okay, we're Canadian.

4. March 10th is "Middle Name Pride Day." What's your middle name?

Andrew: Umm... Anil.

Me: Why did you say 'um'?

Andrew: Because it's a random Indian name.

5. Submit one question you would like to see on a future The Boys Behind the Blog.

Andrew: Ummmmm....

Me: Uh huh...?

Andrew: Have you ever tried the mile high club?

Me: Oh my god, really? That's your question?

Andrew: What? Is that not a valid question? Fine... What's your favourite type of pants? Jeans, sweats, etc?

Me: Okkk...

Andrew: When you go on vacation...

Me: No, you already asked two.

Andrew: No, put this one.

Me: Sigh. What is it?

Andrew: When you go on vacation, what is the one thing you want to accomplish?

Me: Accomplish? Uh, don't people go on vacation to relax?

Andrew: No, when you and I go on vacation, we go on tours and explore and stuff.

Me: Maybe accomplish isn't the right word..

Isn't Andrew fun? Happy weekend everyone!

He Wants To Be In a Drunken Stupor?? (Boys Behind the Blog)

It's that time again for Boys Behind the Blog! Andrew decided to take a really, really long time to answer some of these questions. In his defense, he had just walked in the door and was hungry; I was holding dinner back from him until he answered them. I don't know how he puts up with me sometimes. Oh wait, because I'm awesome. That's how.

1. What was your favorite movie of 2013?

Andrew: "You know what was running through my head? I was initially going to say American Gangster but that has nothing to do with 2013. Flight. Flight was a damn good movie."

2. What is your all time favorite movie quote?

Andrew: "I'm dangerous."

Me: "But that wasn't the line in Top Gun."

Andrew: "Oh yeah, 'you're dangerous' but I don't want the rest of the world thinking I'm dangerous so I'd say..." *thinks for a good minute* "Um, quote from a movie?"

Me: "Yes."

Andrew: "'Oh bother.' Winnie the Pooh. *laughs* No."

Me: "What's the quote then?"

Andrew: "That. No, no, no. Why are you still typing?"

Me: "Shh."

Andrew: "Long live the king."

Me: "That's good."

Andrew: "'Welcome to Jurassic Park.' How many more do I have to choose?"

Me: "Just one!"

3. What is your favorite type of movie? (Action, scary, comedy, etc)

Andrew: "All in one."

Me: "What?"

Andrew: "Action. Oh. Action. *whispers* Scary, comedy... You know, like Scary Movie, has all in one. Drama. Action, action!"

I think his final answer was action.

4. What is your New Year's Resolution?

Andrew: *he laughs*

Me: "What?"

Andrew: *he ponders* "For there to be no drama. But, that's impossible. Um, new years resolution is to live a peaceful and successful.. *pauses*"

Me: "Are you going to finish the sentence?"

Andrew: "To have an entertaining year. Peaceful and entertaining don't really go together, do they?"

Me: "It's fine."

Andrew: "To win the lottery. That's my resolution every year."

Me: "That's not a resolution. That's a wish."

...he kept answering. For a while.

5. Finish the sentence: This year I will....

Andrew: "Love you?"

Me: "Was that a question or a response?"

Andrew: "Question. *laughs* This year I will become Rob Ford. Haha, I'm kidding. Be in a drunken stupor. Wait, what's the question?"

Me: "Sigh. Finish the sentence: This year I will..."

Andrew: "Be Superman. Wait!" *hands me flowers that he had just bought for me* "Say the last question again."

Me: "Oh my gosh *laughs while smiling and smelling the flowers* This year I will..."

Andrew: "Make the woman of my dreams the happiest woman ever."

Me: "Awww. Wait, who is that?"

Andrew: "Alexandra *says his last name*."

Aw, I did not tell him to say or do any of that. The flowers were a wonderful surprise! A girl could get used to this!

The pretty flowers he gave me

Andrew Answers Questions From Guyana!

It's here. The day that everyone loves. Andrew answers questions on my blog!

Andrew is actually in Guyana right now so I asked him these questions over the phone. He was nice enough to spend his long distance minutes just for you guys! Or me. Whatever.

Let's get to it!

Left: Taken a week ago in chilly Toronto
Right: Selfie that Andrew took in warm Guyana

1. What is your favorite cereal?

Andrew: Oh. Uh.. My favourite cereal is Fruit Loops. No. Frosted Flakes. NO! Kellogg's!! There we go.

Me: Um, that's a brand.

Andrew: 'What brand of cereal do I like?' Isn't that what you asked me?

Me: No, I said, 'what's your favourite cereal?' Not brand.

Andrew: Lucky Charms.

Just for the record, Lucky Charms is a General Mills cereal. Not Kellogg's.

2. Pancakes or waffles?

Andrew: Alphabets

Me: No, we're done that question. Pancakes or waffles?

Andrew: Pancakes. I haven't really ate waffles.

Me: Yeah, you have. At hotels.

Andrew: Not really.

Me: Yeah, you make your own. You always get a waffle at hotel continental breakfasts.

Andrew: That happened like once.

Me: *sigh* Moving on.

3. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Andrew: Giving gifts. Or getting gifts. Ha.

4. Finish the sentence: All I want for Christmas is...

Andrew: You.

Me: Ha, no but really.

Andrew: No, no, no. All I want for Christmas is you. And to cuddle you.

Me: Aw. You know this is going on the blog right?

Andrew: To go somewhere. For Christmas, I want to go somewhere.

Me: You just went to Guyana. What am I saying? You're in Guyana right now!

Andrew: So? I want to go everywhere!

5. What was your best moment of 2013?

Andrew: Um.. best moment of 2013? When we moved into our new apartment.

Me: Aw, that's nice.

Andrew: When we bought all our furniture and designed our home.

Me: Seriously, that's really nice.

Andrew: Oh and for the pancakes or waffles question...

Me: Andrew, I have to go.

Andrew Met Who?! (Boys Behind the Blog)

I love having Andrew's voice on my blog but I've missed a couple of these link-ups. I'm happy I get to participate in this one!

So, let's ask Andrew some questions! With commentary from me!

1. Describe yourself in five words.

Andrew: Confident, risk taker, empathetic, ambitious and competent.

Me: Empathetic? Really?

Andrew: Just not with you. Fine. Courageous.

2. What is your biggest fear?

Andrew: Getting caught.

Me: Getting caught with what...?

Andrew: Anything that gets me into trouble.

He then changed it to "getting into an accident."

3. What is your favourite candy?

Andrew: Gummy bears.

We had gummy bears last night. He ate one. I ate the rest.

Me: I'm going to say Hershey's Cookies and Creme chocolate.

Andrew: You might as well answer all of my questions baby. You know me too well.

4. What was the best Halloween costume you ever wore?

Andrew: Looking like the nasty farmer with the nasty face (I had the mask that looked like it) from Harold and Kumar.

Me: I have no idea what you're talking about.. but okay.

5. Who is your favourite football team?

Andrew: It's between Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. It's hard. Patriots are good.

He then starts trailing off...

I think the last question is geared more towards American's as football isn't as big here in Canada as it is there.

(As I'm writing that, Andrew calls me and says, "Wait, you can say Miami Dolphins! Remember when I met the owner?" I don't remember. Dang. I guess that's a story for another day.)

Thanks for playing, Andrew!

Andrew Has a Spider Web on His Arm

When I saw the Boys Behind the Blog link up, I was super excited. I think it's great that Andrew finally gets his voice on my blog! So, let's ask Andrew some questions!

Andrew. Flying.

1. What celebrity would play you in a movie about your life?

"Tom Cruise. Or John Travolta. Or Denzel Washington!"

(He's clearly choosing actors who are pilots or who have acted as pilots. Fun fact: Did you know that John Travolta turned down the role that Denzel Washington got in Flight? Why? He thought the mid-air flight scenes were "silly.")

2. What is your dream car?

"Aston Martin."

(Vroom, vroom.)

3. Do you have any tattoos? What, where, why?

"Yes, at the bottom of my left ankle. It's of a sword. I'm kidding."

(Really Andrew? I think I would have noticed if you had a tattoo of a sword on your ankle.)

4. Boxers or briefs?

"Boxers."

(Then he laughs.)

5. List 3 random facts about yourself.

Andrew: "Pilot. I don't know. You would know better."

Me: "Two more!"

Andrew: "Um, on the right side of my arm I have a spiral. It kind of looks like a spider web. And I can do anything. Almost anything."

(To clarify what he means by the web; he's referring to his arm hair. It's hard to see in the picture, but right in the middle, his hair goes in a circle. It's easier to see it in person.)

Thanks Andrew. :)
