Another Weekend Recap

This weekend, Andrew and I used the free VIP tickets to the Home Show that I got from a co-worker.

The tickets included free alcoholic beverages. Now, I'm not one to turn down anything that's free. Nor is Andrew. Let's just say, we had a good time.

The Home Show actually did have some pretty cool stuff. I loved the hockey den and I'm not even a hockey fan (I know, I know. I'm Canadian. I'm supposed to live and breathe hockey. But, I don't).

I was very excited to see the Love It or List It booth. I love that show! Home renovation shows? Yes, please!

Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of this and I couldn't find one online, but I saw the coolest thing ever at the Home Show (do people even say "cool" anymore?). We went through a "Dream Home" which was well decorated and nicely laid out. It was the dining room table that caught my eye. A nice enough table, no doubt. But, it doubled as a pool table! I thought that was awesome.

We had our weekly visit to St. Louis with Jerome. The three of us have been going there weekly for so long that some of the staff know us by name. When we all made the commitment to start eating better, we stopped going for a while. We missed the staff, of course and had to go back. But man, is their food greasy. Yuck.

Instead of going to St. Louis twice in one week, Jerome so kindly invited us to his place one night and cooked us dinner. Delicious! (His place is gorgeous by the way.)

The rest of the weekend I spent in driving school (only two more classes to go until I get in car lessons!) and trying to tidy up the apartment. Clearly, very exciting stuff.
